Published My Third Book

I published my third book this summer. I have been contemplating this book for about three years. After learning the self publishing process with my first two books I thought it was time to give this one a try.

This book came about after we created our respective trusts. My wife is my successor trustee and was concerned that she wouldn’t be able to figure out everything she would need to know to be my trustee. Her concerns were valid. At the time, I researched how people handled this and thought the process would be a good subject for a book. Back then I thought about creating a web site that people could use but soon realized it would be too complex. So the idea went on the back burner.

After I published my second book I realized that I now had the tools to put together a decent book. By this time I was using ChatGPT a lot and found that it is a valuable tool, if you use it right. So, I created an outline and showed it to some friends that were discussing estate planning. With some feedback from them, I refined the outline and then started researching content for the book. Ultimately, the book should be considered “Medium-Content”. It contains a great deal of “How-To” information plus forms that users can use.

Like my other books, this book has an Online Resource page. However, this page has great deal more information such as downloadable forms, and more “How-To” videos.

This was by far, the biggest project. Between the how-to information in the book, constructing forms for the book and the online resources page, plus creating the videos there were a lot of hours.

The book is called “If You Need to Step In” and is available on Amazon.
