Dog Training

Standing Stone Kennels – A full service breeding and training kennel located in Kansas. Not only do they offer quality German Shorthair Pointers, they also offer training services. In addition, they have an excellent YouTube channel with a large number of very well produced videos to enable you to train your dog yourself.

Equipment

Garmin Alpha 200i – The GPS collar system that I use.

Habitat Organizations

Pheasants Forever – Probably the best organization for pheasant hunters. The national organization provides excellent support for the local chapters.

Hunting Locations

Technology

Garmin Basecamp – Works in conjunction with Garmin products like smart watches and GPS collars. I use it to download “routes” from our hunting trips and display them on satellite maps.

ONX – Mapping application for phones and computer.  Easy to use to find public hunting areas. May also be used to determine who owns private land. We use this app on our phones to navigate unfamiliar fields and to find public hunting.
